My obsession: Blushers

* Reminder: the Lancome blusher you can't find it anywhere now. This post is quite some time ago. I feel bad to re-post this, sorry :/

I spied on the La Rose Deco in Michelle Phan's lancome video and I thought that it was really pretty and all and I definitely have to go get it. Called the whole counter and they were all oos already and finally~~ one counter has it..So zzzzzoommmeeddd up to Kay Elle and get it.lol. thanks to my peer lingpei  to drive me up just to get it.love you loadsss

This is their Fall Collection 2010 and yes it is limited edition. Look at how pretty it is. I want to get the Teint Miracle too but I couldn't. I spend too much this month. So the blusher follows me home leaving down the Teint T_T . But nevermind,  I still got the chio blusher with me. haha.  Teint will be my nxt list tho :P ( Updated 2/07/11: I already bought the teint and use almost half of it.lol. I'm impressed :D )

It has like a rose pattern on it and half is lighter pink and another half is a darker one. It has like a silver over-spray on it but I'm pretty sure it is gonna vanish within a few application . The SA told me that it can be use for blusher, overall face powder, bronzer as well as eyeshadow. how cool was that? I'm in love with it already.lol. I got a makeover by them and this blusher really gives a very natural rosy glow.  And as I say, it is limited edition. So go grab it fast before it disappears from the shelves *winks* ( sorry if you just read this. It's already oos now :/  )

Okay  I thought this will be the only additional ones who will join the blush family. But I went to the Mac counter and stroll around and then, I saw my fav blusher. And my best friend Melissa bought them for me as my birthday present.

And yes, another blusher * thinking hard why I couldn't resist it*

Mac Pink Swoon. Super lovely

Don't get deceived by how scary it looks. It is really sheer and gives a really pretty flush on the skin. Don't believe me? Go swatch it at the counter yourself  :)

A closer look. I think the color kinda washed out alittle bit from my camera.

Anyway, thanks alot to Mell I really love love love this one..lol.thank you..

I have so many blushers with me right nao and I don't think I will hit pan on any of them in short term. I really have blush problem but idk.lol

Thats all from me and I'll see ya soon

Review: Egyptian Magic Cream

Ever heard of this cream? This is the Egyptian Magic Cream. Rave by many celebrities around the world. It has only natural ingredients in it which are olive oil, beeswax, honey, pollen, royal jelly, and propolis extract. No chemicals in it at ALL. It is a all multipurpose cream.

You can use it almost from head to toe. Could be used for skin moisturizers, makeup remover, skin rash, eczema, dry skin, chapped lips, massage oil, after-shave cream, dry scalp, hot oil hair treatment,SCARS(woohOO), hand cream, itchy skin...almost for everything. I bought the 30g one because I was afraid that it might not suit my skin. It also comes with the 4oz one which is quite a big pot and I think it could last like forever. Lol

It seems pretty much just like vaseline.About the smell, to be honest, I don't really like the smell of it. I could not say it smells unpleasant, its just that it is not really my liking :(
I use this as my skin moisturizers and also for the scars on my leg. When this product slapped on my face, it feels really greasy I do not lie. Haha, However, it did not break me out and skin feels really smooth the next morning.I am amazed.lol. Because its only the fourth day using it, thus I could not really tell on the scars on my leg. Shall update it once I see changes :)

*Updated: I lost it when I was shifting back from the hostel. Gahh.It takes forever to find them :(

Anyway, because this cream is oil based, it is advisable to use it only at night if you were to use it on your face. All you need is just a little scoop of it, and then run the product through your fingers and they will immediately turn into oil.

The cons: still on the packaging.Imo, it has bad hygiene practice. I basically uses a spatula to scoop out the product.Alternatively, you could also transfer it to a smaller container so that product will not be contaminated when you open and close it everyday.
Every people have different skin. Listen to them and they will show you the way.
I shall see you soon.
Bye

Review: Revlon PhotoReady Foundation

Hey guys, as promised, here is the review on the Revlon Photoready Foundation.

So I got mine some other day ago in drugstores and they were like having sales. The retail price is pretty much expensive I think is about MYR 64 and now they are like having sales for around MYR 54. I went crazy when I first saw this and keep jumping here and there excitedly and the rest was history.

When I bought mine, they have promo whereby when I get one of the photoready, they will give the Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer as a free gift for the first 30 customers. I really wanted to try that one but I always didn't have the chance to pick it up just because I think that it is quite expensive for a small tube like that. Its about MYR 50-ish if I'm not mistaken.( Update: I hate the primer. It leaves the skin even oilier during the day and I don't really know why. Such a dissapointment :/  )So I went to the drugstores before the shop opens and I was their first customer there..lol. I am cheap like that.haha.I got a free clutch from them too but I'm not really crazy over that clutch so, whatever.

So, anyway, drugstores foundation is not really my type because for some reason I don't really think they do good on the face. I'm not bias or something but I do feel that foundation and concealer is such an important things that I would not compromise on. However, I read so much about it and I was really eager to try it out. I think they have pretty much selection for Asian skin tone but one thing that I am confused about is that I think their numbering for shades was a bit weird. 006 is way much darker than 008. lol. I don't know.

I was actually torn between two shades, one is the 004 nude and the other one if I'm not mistaken is the 007.couldn't remember. Yea  weird I know.lol. So eventually after much struggling, my friend chooses the 004 one for me. I think it has more yellow undertone in it compared to the 007 one which has pink undertone in it. Both look equally fine when I tested them out but I think the reason why I didn't choose the 007 is because I'm actually afraid it might oxidized on me and makes me look really dark,so, yea.

I know some people do not like this foundation because it kinds of have shimmers in it. I actually didn't realize it until I do a swatch on my hand. It doesn't really bother me much because I don't really see any shimmers when I put on my face. It gives my face looks dewy rather than shimmery. I also read that this foundation dries up really quickly for some people, but I didn't find it to happen to me.lol

Packaging wise, it is a really sleek and good packaging compared to the colorstay one which was really awfully made. This comes with a little pump and you can pump out the amount that you want. For me, 3/4 of a pump is already sufficient for the whole face. A little goes a long way and I think that the coverage is quite good as I use less concealer when I use this foundation.

If anyone of you tried the colorstay one, you will know that it has really weird smell, I think it smells like some kind of detergent or something.lol. That was one of the reason why I back out in drugstores foundation.lol But the photoready one doesn't really have any smell to it so I am quite glad about it.  The only concern about this  foundation is that it has quite a high spf in it which is spf 20 and everybody knows foundation that has spf in it will make you look white in pictures. I guess its because of the titanium dioxide which will bounce off the flash of the camera? I don't know whether it makes any sense. chemistry fail.lol But as far as I concern I don't really realize my pictures look white with this foundation. Maybe just a slight white in some angle but I'm still okay with it.

The cons of this foundation is maybe on the price though. I think it is really quite pricey for a drugstore foundation. Other than that, I don't really find any cons to it. I will definitely repurchase this one provided it has sales to it. Teehee~

Review: Revlon Colorburst Lipstick

Hey people, today I will be going to do a review on the Revlon Colorburst Lipstick.

Basically, this is the first drugstore lipstick that I had, because I seldom wear lipsticks. I'm more to lip gloss type of girl, but the other day when I was wondering around in Guardian, I was attracted with the packaging. Packaging freak people.lol. Thus, I get the soft nude one as I'm not really into strong color.

I bought it with a promotion price of MYR 32.90. Retail price is at MYR 38.90 as stated in the picture above.TEEHEE

This is in 070 soft nude

Honestly, I get attracted by its cover because its very sleek and pretty. It really gives a nice and sturdy grip.

It kind of reminds me of high-end lipsticks. Its so pretty.HAHAHA

The only cons will be that the cover is not transparent, so you can't really see what is the exact color when there is no testers available or when you buy it online and you can only depend on the color provided on the cover itself.

But, I'm still fine with it because I personally find that the color provided on the top of the cover is very similar to the exact color. I shall show you guys.

Dark and light background :)

This is the swatches of it. Don't really know whether you can see it.Well, it basically have more pink undertone in it. However, I think it kind of washed me out alittle if I didn't apply lip gloss over it.

I didnt took pictures with the lipstick on my lips because I believe that every people do have different lip color so I didn't want to give any wrong perception on how the color reflects on my lips.

I find the texture to be creamy( but not greasy) and it works very well with my lipgloss. I do not find it to be drying and it doesn't have any weird strong smell ( the main reason why I didnt use lipstick is because some tends to have a very strong smell and feels greasy on the lip)

I rate it 4.5 out of 5. The 0.5 missing is on the price thou. lol. Will definately repurchase it again when it has sales going on because MYR 38.90 for drugstore product is kind of pricey to me. lol.
So yea that's it. I hope you enjoy it and I shall see you soon.

Review : Biore Cleansing Oil & Cleansing Oil in Cotton Wipes

I know I was kind of late doing this review but I guess its better to be late than never. Haha. So, here it goes. I read them in magazines so I guess it would be a good try as I ran off of my cleansing oil as well so I picked up this two products in Sasa. One is the cleansing oil and the other one is the cleansing wipes.

Cleansing oil
I was quite disappointed with this product because I thought it would be a good one and was really eager to try this when it first came to Malaysia but..nahhh...I personally think that it doesn't really suit me as it didnt completely dissolves my make up and I could still feel the oil after rinsing it. It is just as though I slapped oil onto my face and it does nothing. I mean I'm really skeptical on what I use so I tend to test it out by wiping off with a refiner(toner) and I ended up having lots of foundation stuck on the cotton pad..yuck..And it do stings me a little when I try to rub it on my eyes to take off my mascara. Not really a good one I could say.

I really like the smell though. I couldn't really tell, but I think it smells like apple?lol. I really didn't know what to do with it at first but now I use it on my arms to at least clean out the sunscreen on it. Could maybe condition my arms a little with the oil ? I don't know. Haha.
Rate 1 out of 5 ( one is maybe for the smell :D)

Biore Cleansing Oil in Cotton Wipes

I love love love this alot compared to the cleansing oil. Oh my gawdd.. This is the first time ever I could use a wipe to wipe off my waterproof mascara. Its super good. I couldn't really tell how good is good, but I'm really liking this one because its super convenient as it wipes off eyes, face, and lips makeup effortlessly. Doesn't stings and will not leave oily residue after using.

The cons on this one is maybe it takes much longer time to clean because the wipes is quite small and you might have to use two to three wipes to ensure your face is all cleaned up.

But I think having the packaging that comes with a little cute box is really really good. As you guys know, I live in country that is hot and humid all year so my facial wipes tend to get dry when it reaches the last wipe. This is why I have to keep them refrigerated. But this one, I try not to refrigerate them and it still very moisture every time I take it out. Am really happy with what a wipes could do.
