Okay I thought this will be a good time for me to do a review on this Guerlain Meteorites since I had tried it for a good amount of time. I have it in 01 Teint Rose.
What exactly it is:
According to Guerlain, it is a face powder which blends different colored pearls together:green to correct redness, pink to even out the look, white for illumination and gold for radiance. It could create a flawless complexion: luminous, even, clear and natural.
I have to say it is perfume-y and I suggest to smell it at the counter first before buying it as the smell is kinda strong but once it is on your face, the smell will be gone. I'm still tolerable with the smell as it smell rather nice and soothing.
How to use:
At first, I always thought that the balls have to be crushed or something before using them.lmao. Well, what you need to do is just to swirl around your brush in the balls until you get a good amount of it, and then gently sweep it on your face.
Do you really need this:
In my opinion, not really. If you have a better option with a cheaper price, I would say go ahead for it. This is really way too pricey for a face powder. It retails in Guerlain counter for RM182. In fact, I don't see this to do any difference to my skin other that to set my foundation nicely. I actually do have something which is of a similar one, which is the Givenchy face powder(picture above), so I'm not sure whether I'm loving this product or not.
Honestly, I picked this up just because of its packaging. The packaging is really sleek. It has like a metal case and on top of it,which is the cover, it has like the embossed flower print that you can actually feel. I learnt that before this metal packaging, it is like a cardboard thingy. Well, I guess after their clever consideration of its price vs its packaging they then decided to change to a more classy ones.
Another reason for me to pick this up is because of its uniqueness. I do not own anything like this before(powder in balls.okay this sounds so wrong wtf) so I guess it will do a good collection for me.
I will still keep using it as I have fun playing with it already.
Rate: 4 out of 5 ( 3 is for the packaging tho :P)
