Hey guys, training is over for me. yippie. And now I'm just slacking around at home lol. Hence, I decided to try doing this DIY white fungus serum/ mask/ exfoliator that I saw the other day.
I always do DIY toners, scrub, bla bla bla but this is the first time my attempt on DIY serum lol.I was actually inspired by Queenie to do this.

White fungus is said to have the functions of brightening, hydrating and it has healing properties that could calm acne prone skin. If your skin is quite sensitive, I suggest you to try at the back of your hands first before doing this :)
Lets begin:
I couldn't really find a big petals white fungus, so I bought the one which are already cut. Do buy the ones which are yellow in color as the white ones are bleached and is really bad for the skin.
Put it in a warm water for about 30minutes to clear out the impurities. Squeeze and keep changing the water until water becomes clear.
no no to yellow water
clear water means clean.yay
Separate the fungus from the hard base.
You should have something like this.
Prepare a pot and add water in it.
I prefer having more of its benefits in the water hence I put the fungus to cook in 1/3 pot of water. Cook till the fungus in the water is boiled then let it simmer for about an hour.
Next, separate the fungus and the water
The water is our precious serum!! :)
Let it cooled down for a bit.
At the meantime, the base that we have we can use it as a natural exfoliator.
BEWARE!!!
What you are about to see is yours truly naked face. LOL

Buff the base around the face like so, around your cheek, your forehead, chin and don't forget your nose. Its good for acneprone skin as it could combats irritation. Wash off and pat dry.
The leftover of base could be also used to scrub your body and you can pop it back into the fridge and it should have a lifespan of a week.
Back to the cooled down serum. We should prepare some clean containers to put our serum.
Also, prepare a dropper for easier transfer of the serum. You could use spoon or any other tools as well, but I think using droppers will make it less messy :)
Remember to put them in the fridge as it has no preservatives. This will also have a life span of a week
It also could be use as a mask.
For Face Mask
Just pop a paper mask into the serum
For Eye mask
Cut half of a cotton pad
Cut into a half crescent moon shape
Tada! Red Riding Mask muahahahhaa
For Lip Mask
Beauty comes from inside out. The leftover? Just pop in some brown sugar and you are ready to get a healthy white fungus soup. Its full with collagen and consuming it for the long run could reduce fine lines and also wrinkles.
