Haulss

I'm back from the hospital at last. Thank god that everything is alright. I get really really exhausted one day and I decided to go for a walk and get myself some products( as the shopping mall is just a walking distance from the hospital).

I picked up something from the Etude House. For those who are not familiar with this brand, Etude House is a Korean brand that has the cutest physical shop as it is all in pink. They sell various products ranging from skincare to makeup products.

I picked up their Mini Size U toner and as well as their yoghurt mask.Others are just some of the samples that they gave to me. This is probably my first time trying on their skincare and I will definitely report back.

Besides that, I also manage to get some stuff in the pharmacy store down-stair of the hospital.

I got some alcohol pads to disinfect my makeup products and as well as the Clinelle compact powder as it is buy one and get one free. I know I'm not really a drugstore person when it comes to foundations, but when I try out the tester, I found that the powder is really really finely milled. I kinda have high hopes in it but we'll see how it goes later :)

And that's it. I hope you have a nice day :)

Gifts from Taiwan

My besties went to Taiwan the other day and there are some of the things that she picked /help me to picked up. She has been my best of friend since after secondary and still am standing strong today but long story short lol, this are the products.

Up to down, left to right

- Soft Toy DIY
-Kao Essential Ultra Honey & Shea Butter( this is featured in my August hits and misses post)
- Shiseido Perfect Whip Facial Foam
- Face Q mask ( I didn't tried this out before but the lifting one have the ear hook and neck support to it which I think is so cool)
- The little white puff thingy is the one to build the DIY soft toy.

I actually ask her to look out for me on the Giorgio Armani foundation that I heard people raving about it, but then I figured that I have too too much foundations that I wanted to try first than this one, so I pass it. lol

Anyway, thanks LiChen for the gifts . I really appreciate it :)

August 2011 Hits and Misses

Hey people, I will try and do my monthly hits and misses from now on because I think I could actually do like a small review on the things I like, or the things I dislike. That way, I figured it's better than throwing out the haul post and that's it. lol. Okay enough for the rambling, let's get started :)

I will do the things that I enjoyed the most first, then to the least because I don't really care for the things that I dislike.

- MAC Fluidline

I hit pan on the Bobbi Brown Gel Liner hence I decided to pick this up. It is really soft and creamy and I have to agree it is really less smudgy than the BB ones. I usually line my water line below with gel liners and when I use the BB ones, I could see it smudges at the end of the day. The Mac one did not smudge as crazy as the BB does. Definitely check this out if you haven't already, but I'm sure most of you already have this.

- TheFaceShop Eyelash

Bought this in a wimp as they are having crazy sales. 60percent off for these lashes. Initially, I thought that they are too dramatic for my taste, but after trying a few sets I have to say they look very nice and natural( of course depending on the ones that you choose) I ended up getting a bunch of them lol. Each boxes comes with a small tube of glue in it which makes it convenient for travel. I really liked them.

- Naruko Niaouli & Tea Tree Sebum Control Night Gelly

LOVE!! I found this to be the best from all the night gellies that I've tried so far from the Naruko lines. At some point I think I should do an in-depth review on all the Naruko's stuff that I've used. But anyway, the tea tree is the only ones that impressed me the most. I slap it on my face when I see breakouts or soon too be breakouts( if that makes sense lol) and the next day I found that they are all less redder and less bumpier. Highly highly recommend this.

- Naris Up Skin Conditioner

I actually picked this up after watching Michelle Phan's video on the cotton pad mask but I chooses the hyaluronic acid ones instead. I used this every night and I think it is moisturising enough but not really wow-ed by it. But I would say this is definitely a good alternative mask to substitute my Kose ones as this is way much cheaper. If you could see on the picture I'm almost done with it already and if you guys follow me on twitter you know I picked up another one in Vitamin C which is suppose to be for whitening purposes. Can't wait to try that one out :)

- Cotton Pads( Unsure of the brand as I can't read Japanese obviously haha)

In conjunction with the skin conditioner I also picked this up in Sasa. This really blows out of the water for the ones that I've ever tried. Number one, this will not streaks on the face and number two, the size cut of it is really big ( 60mm x 80mm) which I love as I have a big face lol. Oh and did I mentioned to you that one cotton pad could be separated into 5 pieces effortlessly?
And by that you could just drench one cotton pad with your favourite toner and put on your entire face as a mask. How awesome is that?

- Kao Essential Ultra Honey & Shea Butter Hair Mask

I'm actually debating whether to include this in this post as I only used this once, but I've thought that since I've used it I should throw it in here and give you my two cents about it instead. This was actually bought from Taiwan when one of my friend went visit there. Kao products actually always impressed me pretty much and I kinda have positivity in them including this one. I really love this hair mask and I think for its affordable price you can't really go wrong with that. Cheap and super effective mask as hair feels really smooth and soft after using. Now that I only have a tub, I really had to start figuring out where to get backups of these babies :/

- Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder

I'm on the fence on this product actually. I like the blush, but not the bronzer as it is really too dark and I ended up looking not that natural under sun light. I think I prefer the bodyshop and smashbox ones instead.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the blush though. It has slight gold sheen in it but on the face you're not gonna end up with shine-city face as it gives a really nice touch of glow. People said that it's a dupe for Nars Orgasm for the blusher and Nars Laguna for the bronzer. I don't have both of those so I couldn't really tell whether it is a dupe or not. But for sure this is a half hit half miss for me :/

- Victoria Secret Luminous Cheek & Face Highlighter

The first time I saw this was in Soniacastaneda video and it's really awesome and pretty. Idk, mine broke when it shipped to me and I kinda feel it to be slight greasy when I put it on the skin.

But the color is really beautiful though. I actually prefer this over the high beam from Benefit as it gives really nice highlight to the face with small sheen shimmers w/out over-empowering it. But the greasiness is the thing I don't like about it so I have to reluctantly labelled it on the missed side.

- Nature Republic Nail Polish

Hate this color as it is not true to color when I use them. It looks very old looking on my nails and had this weird sheen that doesn't compliment with my nails at all. Also, the texture is way too watery and not pigmented. Really not impressed with this :/

- Naruko Niaouli & Tea Tree T-Zone Blackhead Remover
I kinda have high hopes in this after watching the Queen Show talking about it. I don't however, see any results when I use this for the past 3 weeks. Is it just me who disliking this product because I see quite a number of people who raved on it. Perhaps I had a bad luck on this, idk.

I guess that's all that I've got for August. Hope you enjoy reading it :)
